This was taken today in the biting cold of Beijing winter :)

What do you think of the composition?

Great photo, beautiful colours, fine focus on the shiny point. As for your questions, I quite like the composition, the only thing I would consider doing would be cropping out some of the sky space, closing the composition on the subject. But this is just an opinion.

One of the best architectural photos I've seen in ages.....really well done Sue!

The only thing I would alter if it were mine (and I wish it were!) would be to straighten the horizon....in the absence of a true horizon work from the roof tops of the row of buildings in the background. As an Architect myself I tend to notice these things all the time, particularly in shots of buildings and landscapes and I promise you that all other Architects would notice it as well :-)
