jeffl7 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Joseph: Stay warm. Atanu: This was just as dawn was breaking on my last day in California with a little bit of night still lingering. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted December 22, 2007 Nice to know that mold can be broken and the season is also open to be celebrated with orange and blue and not always with red and green. Whatever your color will be, I hope it will be peaceful. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 22, 2007 There's something mythical about this. Heavenly bodies against a strong earth always make me think of Greek Gods toying with man's emotions and using nature as their playground. The fairy-tale colors battle this interpretation a little, strangely enough. Myths might easily be seen as fairytales but I think of myths as more grounded, more presumptive upon nature and earthly matters than upon flights of the imagination. So perhaps these colors would have to be more earthy to suggest where my mind wants to go with it and instead I should embark on more of a flight of fancy. The composition though, is keeping me more grounded. It's strong and intentional and definite. It cuts like a knife between earth and sky. Don't know! Will just let it be with those meandering thoughts you've so adeptly stimulated. Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Great colors Jeff! Looks like a ball bouncing down the hill; if only you had a picture of Noah super imposed on the horizon of the hill chasing it! Love a full moon night and early morning. So, what's the story of your portrait? Painting? Photo? I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year! pnital 36 Posted December 22, 2007 Jeff, this one reminds me a children painting ;-)) the sharp cut edges , nearly without middle tones,( on earth, and non in the sky) and the nice round moon.... There is a nice simplicity in it, earth, sky, moon....( and a peeping small bush). I like to think of the idea that something of the child is present in your personality....( very positive imo). Happy holidays. Link to comment
