Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 19, 2007 Agaiin the shallow DOF is the key here. It appears that the musician's audience stands in ranks behind him. He is nicely accented against the background. Link to comment
pnfphotography 0 Posted January 8, 2008 Hi your comment led me here - what a fabulous mood this has - the fall leaves and the architectural steps to the fence rail or bench rail. Rich with mood, color and design. strong image! Link to comment
joseph_verdesca 0 Posted August 3, 2008 Great colors, mood and composition. Conveys great depth through the use of narrow depth of field - the foreground to background receding fenceposts are great, but just as much so do I like the path of leaves starting at the sax and receding into the distance. I love the use of darkness and somber tones of the scene, the saturated color of the Fall leaves and the bench rich in contrast. In composition, I also enjoy the fact that the "L-shape" formed by the black bench/fence posts and the rich brown wooden slats of the bench itself appears in parallel offset form to the left with the dark figure and the rich brown leaves. My only suggestion (attached) might be to delete the Park Department symbol on the trash bin, as my eye is drawn to it again and again from the bottom and from the right (given its high contrast, bright white color and crisp sharpness). I might also delete the red light on the far right hand side. Nice work. Link to comment
