alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted December 9, 2007 Wonderful everything, Chan. The lighting is superb, giving white so many levels and variations. The composition is delightful with a title to match. Also love the crop. Bravo! Link to comment
fredrik_steffen 0 Posted December 9, 2007 Nice image composition and cropping, but I would black out the background completely. Link to comment

ransford 0 Posted March 7, 2009 First time I've seen your wonderful portfolio. I particularly like this one because you have achieved two aspects of photographing a white flower that many of us aim at. First, you capture the full gamut of light and shadow, with a fascinating play of reflected light. Second the range of subtle color in a white flower is delightful. The bee adds immeasurably to quality of life in the flower. I noticed some comment about blacking out the background, always a problem with this kind of crop. As far as I'm concerned, a subtle hint of depth from a dark background makes it less of a studio feeling, the essence of outdoors--a flower sparkling in the sun. But I admit it can be distracting. Doesn't distract me here. Link to comment
