Guest Guest Posted December 5, 2007 This bird won't swim very far, it's swimming with tail upside down. But why not? So we are resolutely into modern art. This is almost surrealistic I would say. This is highly suggestive and starts a whole new train of thought. I would have done it slightly differently technique-wise, but this is not mine and I shut up as this is no more photography thank God. The more iconoclasts we will have here, the faster we will fly, the farther we will go, even if we don't know where. I will think about it for a few days before coming back to it. You will allow me, Alberta, there is no beauty in it, not in the traditional sense. It's almost shocking. Most people won't tell you, but they won't like it. As such, I am very surprised. Need to go deep inside before coming back. If you want my opinion, persevere in this field whatever you hear. I may have a few technical points to help you in this, it all depends on what you want to do exactly. You've trumped me. RogerG, The Dead Mind Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted December 5, 2007 And I don't suppose that I can, Roger - the Gifted Artist/Photographer in the Cold. But I haven't tried - yet. The trump will be on the reflections photo and I'm mentally perfecting my approach as I type. To be continued . . . As for this one, it amuses me and sometimes it's all about ME :) Pointers I can always use. Along with a photography, drawing and art class. Course, if I keep posting at PN there's time for nothing else. Bye then - Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted December 5, 2007 Well I think its funny. A flying' fish with mechanical wings. Something very advance. Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted December 5, 2007 Thanks for stopping by. Of course, there's a story behind this one (there usually is). In the actual fish photo, the fish was pointed the other direction. I took the plane photo and did a flip horizontal, never even thinking that I was reversing the lettering. I worked on the element assembly and PS "cartoon" treatment and was all ready to post when the inversion hit me on the head like a brick! I was never the world's best proof-reader and this just proves things haven't changed :) Cheers - Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted December 5, 2007 well, I guess I finally know now what the "f" in f-16 stands for! :-) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 7, 2007 Jeff's comment was very good I think, but the apotheosis (what's happening to me here?) of all comments belongs to Dave!!! Woohoo... It goes along with "When you do not want a solution to a problem, you create a committee". And each member, preferably, should not know what is a fish, or a bird, or a plane. Thanks to you Dave, you made my day. Back on the hammer and the studs. RogerG Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted December 8, 2007 You're really lucky indeed. I've made a career trying to explain things that I did not understand, and often did non even know. Way to go. Tell us, Alberta, your patriotic flying fish, does it sing, or croak, or what? :-) RogerG, Just Having Fun Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 23, 2008 Awfully glad you left a comment on my picture (Man In A Hurry) so that I could come over here and discover your wonderful collection of fairy tales. An imagination such as yours will soar with the fishes. Link to comment

bernie moore 6 Posted January 23, 2008 Alberta, I've seen a number of flying fish from dive boats, but never this closely. Perhaps new glasses? Regards, Bernie Link to comment
