...that the figure of the man is not well enough lit! He is in a right position in the composition, but if he was about 30 feet forwarded it would have been a nicely recognizable silhouette!

To me, this is a darkly composed image of fear. The feeling I have is that something bad is coming. You have created a scene which evokes strong emotions.
