I would appreciate any comments you may have of this photo. It is my

first attempt at a Newborn. She is a friend of my daughters baby ...

just over 4 pounds and moves around like rabbit (yes 4 pounds). It was

fun, frustrating and a great learning experience. Hats off to all you

child photographers.

Hi! I think it is just precious! I love the stacked towels. Great first attempt. They are slippery little boogers aren't they? I wish you could see that bottom eye more. I have the same problem in my newborn pictures. You want them to be on something soft but then their face sinks down some. Wonder what other photographers do to combat this? Beautiful baby and a great job. I think I would crop it more even by taking a little off on the left side and I would also photoshop out that one dark corner at bottom right. Would love to see it in black and white too!

I agree with Amy about the eyes. She is an awesome photographer, you should check out her site if you are interested in child photography. I am going to try wrapping the top towel around a piece of plywood and see if that keeps the little buggers from sinking in. Wonderful first attempt, be sure to keep the focus on the face. I'm no expert but i think this is just "class" mate, it one of those photos that you would expect to find in B&W in a poster shop, in fact if you wouldn't mind having a print of this great photo on my own wall, thats if you would grant permission?

Anyway all the best, if this is your first i will watch eagerly for more great stuff.
