jmoody 0 Posted November 18, 2007 Felt like there was a nice incongruence here between the "modern" dancer and her somewhat interested public. Anything to make this better? Cropping closer is all I can really come up with off the top of my head. Thanks in advance Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted November 18, 2007 Incongruence is an understatement, Jeff :) Cropping the red sign on the left to the edge of the frame might be good. Like this a lot - colorful, fun street documentary. Great job! Cheers - Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted November 18, 2007 thanks Alberta. I think I agree with the crop idea. I feel like this shot had tons of potential but kinda got away from me (was trying out a new camera and didn't quite have a perfect handle on exposure/focus etc... oh well. some other time) Link to comment
zambaras 0 Posted November 19, 2007 Great and ..surreal street shot. I like the symmetry in the posture between the lady and the poster figure as well as the contrast between the man in boots and the barefoot. I would crop a bit of the bottom, to take out the change of the pavement in bottom left and trim both left and right, as well. Really good idea, very well done. Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted November 20, 2007 Great shot! I like the symmetry between the dancer, the man and the poster behind him. Also like the symmetry between the overall blue color and the small red spots in the middle behind. Agree to crop away the red sign to the left, and the bottom left grey area of the pavement. katzpjs 50 Posted November 22, 2007 No changes suggested Jeff, but if you have sufficient pixels in your image please consider a candid close up of just the dancer as a follow-up to this image. I think that would be quite special. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted November 29, 2007 I wouldn't change a thing either. The scene as it is has an embedded quality that far surpasses most street shots. Congratulations! Link to comment
juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted April 22, 2009 Jeff I have to agree with the artists above...you did good! Just the way it is...Fantastic moment...caught! The fella in the advertising across the street could be dancing with this "free dancing soul"...They both have very similar postures...juan Link to comment
