andrew_lee2 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Touching, a beautiful portrait. I would be proud if it were my own, and I would be happier still if I were the couple. Still, I think this photo can be stronger. First, the space above the man's head is cropped alarmingly close. Also, I don't think the landscape 35mm format quite works. Granted, neither would portrait format - one of the strong suits of this photo is the generous space you've given on either side of the couple, that room to breathe. Expanding on this a bit, I think the best format would be a square medium-format style, with more room on the top to accomodate the man. All IMHO, of course. Link to comment
roger_stevens 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Peaceful, this image is nice to look at. Strong, and secure. What a great looking couple. The croping is a little tight at the top, but the expresion is priceless. You nailed this one. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted May 21, 2003 I think this shot is actually excellent, except for the softness imo. I'd love to see a sharp version of this. It's really touching: there's something real going on between them and this very original pose leaves no doubt about it. That's got some value to me. I love the light and the tones too...As for your request regarding a print, this image will soon be available over the net. I'll e-mail to you about it within 2 weeks or so. Thanks for the kind words. Best regards. Link to comment
