brett.tischler 0 Posted November 15, 2007 Good capture. This is not a moray eal, but looks like a yellow ribbon eal. I have seen blue ribbon eals and juevaniles that are black. I have never seen yellow a one like this. I never seen a picture of one. I ask some folks at my dive club exactly what species it is. voets 0 Posted November 15, 2007 well my english about species names is not really good. the dutch word for this animal is "spookmurene" (ghost moray eel when translated literally) I encountered this one in Lembeh, Indonesia. It looks like a close relative of your blue ribbon eel shot. Link to comment
