I'm not happy with the result of my lighting here. I just wanted to

see what other people thought. I can tell you that I think the

lighting makes this look too flat. I used a shoot through umbrella,

camera right, and a medium octabox behind and above camera. Also two

large reflectors camera left. I believe that the lighting would be

better without the shoot through......Any thoughts appreciated.

Kelly, Be Happy! I think the lighting here is perfect. In older kids and for adults you may wish to have a higher lighting ratio but for infants this is great. Expression is the goal in baby photography & you have that in spades here. Take this one & run for the exit (then to the printer to make this one BIG..........for Grandma\pa). Great idea to soften the surroundings with tulling though it almost got in the way. Not to worry, you done good! Best, LM.

Thank you very much. She loved to chew on that stuff. It was hard to get some decent shots without the material in her mouth.
