doctorbabaguy 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Vadim, This is a complicated photo. Your tone separation and contrast are very good. But there are too many themes here. There does not appear to be a central vision, neither is perspective control through layering, even though there was a strong opportunity for that. The arrow up on the post is one of the strongest elements, but the white lines in foreground distract. If I were you, I would have moved two or three steps to the right, tilted the lens a bit upwards to catch the entire arrow, included a bit more of the curvature of the pavement at the left (giving more depth to the left), but would not include much behind the fellow sitting on the fire hydrant. That is one choice dictated by the arrow's direction. I might also try the opposite, that is, crop out the left a bit (exclude the man) and eliminate the foreground as much as possible but would not touch the nice curve of the corner of the pavement. Just wish you kep the whole of the arrow on the top. Animesh Link to comment
