mpphoto 0 Posted October 27, 2007 This is a night cityscape of the Chicago skyline as reflected in the chrome sculpture called "Cloud Gate" in Millennium Park. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted October 27, 2007 I recently read this is called the "bean". Must be a term of endearment and not the real name? This is just as engaging in the night time as it is during the day. Very nice reflection, clarity, color and exposure. Link to comment
bradherbert 0 Posted October 28, 2007 Wow this is fantastic. I have been to Chicago many times and have taken pics of the "bean" many times, but nothing like this. It's very unique. The light is great. I assumed you took a long exposure to get that light? How long an exposure was it, do you remember? Link to comment

jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted August 16, 2009 This is the best bean I have seen. A great Idea executed at 3AM or so inorder to exclude the humans? BRAVO. Warm regards. Link to comment

mpphoto 0 Posted September 18, 2009 First, thanks for all the wonderful comments from everyone. The photo was shot on Fuji Velvia film. The camera settings as I remember were f/16 for 5 sec. in Aperture Priority. It was taken at night (in the winter) that's why there isn't anyone around. The color tint comes from all the street lights and the fact that no filter was used. The only thing done in PS was sharpening, contrast, and remove dust from the scanned slide. Link to comment
