Torture-art ? Don't know, that's why the title. Myself just had fun painting it, from a time

tormented negative. I tried to make it pretty. Even torture is fine in quite few places.

For some friends of mine,

if its water boarding,

its not really bad :-(

Dedicated to Dave Meyer,

he's fond of old staff,

he likes shooting Nikon,

although has a gun.

I sat there and evaluated the image before I read what you wrote. So, I can honestly say I found the image very interesting and quite lovely before I read your comments. And, after reading your comments, I'm exceedingly grateful for your thinking of me. I'm deeply honored. Yes, I do shoot Nikon, and have the ability to shoot Beretta, but choose to only use the Nikon.

And, yes, I not only like to shoot old stuff, I am old stuff!

Thank you for the visit Dave, I was inspired by your work, lately much by your American pastime, an image that invites a great deal of thought and many, many different emotions from us all. Regarding old, myself I think, that I have never been so old, in all my life before :-) Even few white hairs did not bring me wisdom. Its too late for midlife crisis, myself I had that one, for more then 20 years. Another red V8 sports car might fix it. Dam the Greens, for now, I drive the Mitsubishi. Old like good wine with memories of sunny days to savour. Francois Villon waxed lyrically about the snows of yester year. Old staff we are my friend with every passing day, but do enjoy and live it like your last , keep firing away.

Thanks. You are a real inspiration to me. I feel so fortunate that I've found so many good friends here on Pnet. I never dreamed I'd be so lucky.

Although the items themselves evoke a sense of age, those colors (wow) really electrify the shot. Great photo.

Just found some of your comments , terrible I am for not responding quicker. Do not have no doubts regarding your ability and path to take, you are a gifted artist and you will give yourself the answers needed . No need for you to specialize in any area as you have ability to capture many emotions. Just have fun and enjoy yourself with what you do, everything else will come to you in due course. Thank you for your sincere and heart felt comments, never feel down for you do not need too. A big bear hug cara Billiana, for your perceived creative wows.

To your Master of Light and Art I add now the Master of Words. And this is no easy task as you approach 19 thousands meaningful comments. I admire your patriotic and humanitarian work, too. And your sense of humour. Few times I was invited by the Communist Securitate for an interview regarding my political views. Simple objects and tools were as effective as arms to give me a hint about the impending and real danger. A silent soldier with a Kalashnikov behind me reminded me of possible outcomes. Was cleverly done and well reheased drama with style of theater. I remember wearing a clean white shirt.

Long ago I found the tools in an old shed. I processed the colour negative with a home made brew. Things did not go to plan as you can see, so I painted in the colours as I felt. Good fun... and unnecessary. But good fun.

I still prefer the arms in this one ! to the Kalashnikov.....

Thank you for the visits, appreciated your comments and wit. Regarding the madness of the communist years I can say that we lived and loved with passion regardless.

You do not need to make excuse or explanation , ever. All your good work in all the field speaks more. You make a lot of people happy. I said before your love for art and people shows in spades. In words, you have kindness. All the good words you ever wrote, bore fruit. Sometime there are not enough good words to change the world. It would be nice if there would be more people like you. For this and more I will also give you the deserved title of Great Ambassador for Art and Culture. Respect. Mario
