new look at dam

i really like this almost looks like a painting

I WISH this were a real bever dam! It looks to be half man made and have natural, because if you look at the muted picture of this photo contained in this folder, you can actually see a drainage pipe. The lighting was more "high noon" however, I dulled the light on the left side to create more of a morning look to it. It is really a great Dam to visit (if it weren't for the bugs!) Thanks for your comments, I would also like suggestions on possible alternate focal points and cropping. Always looking for critique and ideas.. I am still new to this.

I like the immobile, vulnerable tree surrounded by the dense, encrouching world Minor quibbles: a little too much clutter behind it, distracting crossed branches to the lone tree and some unnatural greens going on.
