This stands up to the removal of detail because of the intense color. It's nice, but I wonder if it would work the same if you left the detail in.

 

Square...is it 6x6? If so there ought to be a lot of detail indeed.

Thank you for your visit and comment. This is not a 6x6 but a cropped scan of a print from a 35mm negative. The detail was not too bad in the original, although quite noisy as you can imagine, but has nothing to do with the beautiful detail we are used to with today's technology (note, this one was shot in the late 80s). My main reason, however, is that I believe that photographs do not have to be sharp to be nice. Thank you once more for your kind and useful comment.
