Notice how all these P&S pictures have that wide and far away look due to the ridiculous 28 and 35mm lenses they have. Do you really want to shoot all your pictures including portraits in super wide angle mode. Must be the reason they are all going to zooms now, but at F5.6 max. Come on camera makers, give us some reasonable glass to work with. Take a look at the rangefinders fo the 70's. F1.7 at 45 mm. Now that's a lense.
