eye of the lens 0 Posted October 10, 2007 Beautiful! Hummers are one of my favorite subjects and you always capture them with such class and beauty. Can you tell me how you 'color drop" frames in photoshop.I see the background then you added pictures, but how do you get all the different colors in your frames--like the highlight on the left? I can't figure out what tool to select, to get two different color frames. I've tried using marquee tool to get first frame but when I try to do the next color it covers the first color. Help! shadow-island 0 Posted October 10, 2007 for your kind comments. I do value your input. Barbara, about the frames. Once you are ready to start framing, you should have a selection under your {effects tab} called foreground color. This is a frame that you can change color by switching your color palette or using the eye dropper to select a color from you image. Add this frame then, crop it to a smaller size. Then go back and do the same thing again...thus creating another frame and making the other appear to be a mat. You can use diffrent things in layer styles for example, bevels to drag on to the frame to get diffrent effects. Hope this helps. Michael Link to comment

shadow-island 0 Posted October 19, 2007 Thanks for you nice comment of this image. Your image was very pleasing to view and reminds me of the times spent in the midwest USA when I could really appreciate what you posted. It was that darn cold and snow that drove me away. Thanks again. Link to comment
