Hi Alberta, I like this photo and the mystery behind it (I looked at it for quite a while before having the 'behind the scene' in the comments). You have helped me to progress a lot thanks to your comments of the last two months. You still know what I think of Photoshop, however with this one you almost convince me to try ! Would you share with us the unphotoshopized photo so we can compare before and after and share with us which functionalities you've used ? Cheers

Would that I could show you the original, Loic. My photo filing system is abominiable and for photo.net photos I normally don't save the RAW files as is the case with this one. The screen sits about 1/2 inch away from the glass and was plastered to the glass with water from a driving rain that afternoon. That caused the distortion in the creature and in the mesh of the screen. The lighting is completely natural. It was sunset and the pink is the last of daylight. The only real change I made was to the lizard's tone - I increased the contrast 100% to give him drama. I'm about to purchase Adobe Lightroom and an external drive. In the near future, saving and finding RAW files shouldn't be a problem. Thanks very much for your comments. Your support means a lot to me. Cheers -

Lizard fan? Now that's an understatement! I just looked at your Lizard portfolio and read through all the comments until I came across just how many there are in Kim's household. Amazing - and the photos are spectacular! Thanks for stopping by. Cheers -

Thanks!

I tried the rotation and it truly is interesting, making the creature appear to be climbing upward.

But this is exactly how the lizard appeared on my screen - sideways - and so I don't feel compelled to rotate the image.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll be on the lookout for a climbing lizard to photograph.

Cheers ~

Alberta
