Keep Animals in Car

This makes me think of a 50's Western. It is so well done, I really like it.

Really like it and the tones BUT get rid of the telegraph wires when you get PS and it would look even older..

No, then it would look like just another snapshot that had been over-PSed to look "old" but fools no one. The pages of Photonet are filled with such pedestrian cliches.

I'm on the fence but I tend to lean towards Ger's suggestion, but on the other hand an old fashioned store wouldn't have a sign that says keep animals in car. It would have a sign that says keep animals in covered wagon. Overall, I like the image and think the hard shadows actually help in this case - looks really hot and dusty! Good job!

I think it looks great as is. Great tonality. The harsh light adds to the feeling of ruggedness and isolation.

All right, let's think about this a bit. Phone/electric wires and cars came in around the beginning of the 20th c. The only 'out of place' thing here, IMO, is the modern trucks. If you are going to keep them, then there is no sense removing the others. I like this as a picture of a ghost store right now, today.
