animalexplorer 0 Posted October 2, 2007 Polkadot Frog (Hyla punctata) This is a very delicate and beautiful frog about 40mm with a very pleasing nocturnal song. The colors are incredible and sometimes photos dont justify the species. The lime green skin is semi-transparent with yellow polkadots decorating the dorsal, brown and yellow lateral lines running from head to hind legs, it also displays translucent blue along the flanks. With its gorgeous horizontal pupils, this anuran will attract it's mate with a beautiful lunar melody. You can view this same frog in my gallery. Paul Link to comment

photodonn 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Did you do this in a studio, or did you "find" him like this in nature? The pose is excellent, great framing, etc. Another great image! Link to comment
animalexplorer 0 Posted October 4, 2007 This frog was photographed in nature while in Peru. Taken with flash to enhance the subject and give me the ability to use a higher aperature setting. Although it does kinda have a studio quality to it. -Paul Link to comment
