clayton_m 4 Posted September 29, 2007 Nice capture. I grew up with a garage infested with these spiders and definitely don't want to touch it... but it's interesting to view. -Clayton Link to comment
trishsnook 0 Posted September 29, 2007 The detail in this is magnificent. I want your macro lens ! I love how strands of the web are highlighted and how you can see the fur-like appearance of the very fine hairs on the body. The red markings on the back are great ... it leaves no doubt as to what kind of spider this is. Also the dof is fantastic. Link to comment

Guest Posted March 7, 2008 Ken, I have relatives in Australia and this is the reason I don't visit them. Excellent shot. Can you tell me what lens you used? Regards. Link to comment
paradox1 0 Posted March 9, 2008 This is only a Red Back Spider. They hurt like shit and make you very ill but wait till you come across the Funnel Web, they can jump several feet and 20 years ago there was no antivenene, bites commonly resulted in death. PS EF100mm macro Link to comment
