dareme416 aim 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Wow! Normally I don't like Macro shots, because with the right lens, they always look good. But this one is extremely creative and well done! Link to comment

rob wray 0 Posted September 27, 2007 I like this shot, I can see what equipment you used by just looking at the water droplets what amazes me is just how you got to do it? How did you get the water onto your subject and get so close before it flew off? Kind regards Rob Link to comment
silia_valdez 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Excellent lighting. I love how you can see the light in the water drops. Very crisp! It feels refreshing! Very nice work. Link to comment
peter_garvanovi__263_ 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Thank you for question. All my photos of insects are taken in the early morning, when is dewy and cold - I can come very close to insect, because when is cold they simply freeze. That's why I get such a big magnification (1:1 ~ 5:1) and all those water drops on insects are just drops of dew. I've never sprayed water on insects. And all animals on my photos are alive. *Canon 30D, lens - Canon mp-e65, Canon macro flash MR14 Link to comment
jo7hs2 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Peter, Amazing work! Congratulations on a very fine photograph. I particularly like the way that the insect almost looks like the captive of the little droplets, almost like a battle between a living force and the more elemental forces of nature. Nicely done. Octavia Ross,I know you are making a subjective assesment, but I have to disagree with your characterization of macro photography. For every great macro photograph you actually see, there are typically many rejects that you don't. I'd amend your statement to include proper technique, along with the proper lens. That technique is very difficult to master, just like almost any other branch of photography. Link to comment
york 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Absolutely wow. This guy is so sharp and colorful. I like the way he looks like he is pushing one bubble off the leaf. He's got a long way to go.:) Great shot! Link to comment
