alecee 0 Posted September 24, 2007 Couldn't believe my luck when the evening glow works magic to the sky. As seen from the lens - no enhancement. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 24, 2007 Congrats Alec, you seem to realize that photoshop is not a substitute for a bad idea or photo. I like the shot. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Very grand photo. I love how the man-made lights are dim reflections of nature's palette. Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Thanks guys. It;s a planned shot Spencer. The afternoon sky was deep blue with no clouds so I knew the magic hour will be good. That's why I took the extra effort to make it count. ^_^ Link to comment

Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Alec the interesting thing is, it was the first time I actually saw shadows of buildings being projected across the sky, and lucky you were there to capture it. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 29, 2007 Really a perfect capture of evening light and the night city coming to life. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted September 30, 2007 Nice use of the magic hour light, Alec. Slightly underexposed brings the sunrays out... Nice work as always... Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 30, 2007 Thanks guys. Dennis, I made sure the exposure is spot-on as the vibrant colors and bright lights will be overexposed if I brightened it. Perhaps if you increase the brightness level in your monitor it will be better. Check the larger image. ^_^ Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted October 1, 2007 Did you take the reading off the sky? I meant to say, most folks don't meter this right and miss the sunrays... Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 2, 2007 Yes, you're right Dennis the reading is taken from the sky and I bracket some more shots for insurance too. Taken both in RAW and Jpeg. Not always do you get a chance for these special moments. Link to comment
