shacknav 0 Posted September 18, 2007 P51 catches a shaft of sunlight as it emerges from a frontal system. Composite of airshow images and local skyscape. You comments appreciated. Link to comment

shacknav 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Hi Dan, thanks for your comment, good to hear from you again. The P51 image was shot at Duxford Legends this year and the b/g is from a dark and stormy day at Troon, Scotland, photographed in 2005. P51 image was extracted, placed on the sky-scape and the lighting on the P51 'adjusted' while still on a separate layer. Only other manipulation is with the prop arcs. Cheers, Pat. Link to comment
gnashings 5 Posted September 21, 2007 Pat, Maybe I am just corny, but I realy enjoy these recent composites more - I think I like the dark, brooding, painting like feel of this image, much like the Lysander. By the way, is that "Old Crow II"? Link to comment
alex_kew 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Works really well, the balance of lighting is spot on. Link to comment
shacknav 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Alex, thanks for the encouraging note, glad you like it. Peter, guess you could call this my 'dark grey period' !! There seems to be a greater depth to colour and light values in these rather brooding images - fun to work with. The attached pic shows all the markings of this example and seems to be just 'Old Crow' - flown spectacularly well at the Legends day, but then aren't they all. Thanks for your kind comments. Note. Off to Canada for about a month, see what I can find out there. be intouch when I get back. Regards to all........Pat. Link to comment
