as de beer 0 Posted September 7, 2007 The informal shopping sector in Addis Abeba plays an important role in the city's financial life. After hours, this boy waits in a shopping stall to be taken home. Comments and ratings are appreciated. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment

as de beer 0 Posted September 7, 2007 Hi Hani, thanks for viewing! I think the picture should be seen in context of the short piece of info I have given with the picture. It is incredible to see how the people of Addis Ababa are working to make things work. Almost next to this pix spot on an informal market street, is a steel and glass high rise building going up.... with scaffolding made from timber. It is an example of how First and Third World economies meet, which to my mind, is newsworthy. Link to comment
ha-ni-ton 0 Posted September 7, 2007 in the "Rate Recent" page, the photographer note is not shown. that's why i didn't read your note and then i wrote you my comment. but now, it is clear. moreover, i like the news photos when they don't express the whole story. i prefer it when it works with the story to create the message. and your photo really did it amazingly. thanks for your reply and for sharing.
