Jokes aside, I am not a big fan of the composites, but I actually like this one. Well done.

Thanks Peter, good to hear from you again. Not the best version of the Spit, I agree, cropping did nothing for it - but it seemed a waste not to use a nicely posed pic. It's only a wee composite, Peter, being all 'au naturel' apart from the added ground 'background' to give it a feeling of space. Cheers..... Pat.

 

PS - for the record I think you were right about the 'high and the mighty'!!

I think this worked perfectly Pat. Good composition, colors etc line up, and it really gives the illusion that you were up there with him!

I agree, the pose and that bg scene go well together. Slight concern, I think there's some green reflection of the DX grass on the fuselage that you wouldn't normally see at that altitude!

Alex - been a good growing year for grass, it's big this year!! Tried various ways to remove the reflection and all failed or introduced too much noise - will try harder! Thanks for the gracious comment Dan. Cheers....Pat.

You know, I do like the Griffon engined Spits more than I admit... just don`t tell anyone:)
