first grade, first day

oh wonderful!!!! i hope you do a portrait like this every year on his first day of school to capture the different stages and attitudes. now he is open with the whole world ahead of him. i can imagine him in a few years as a cocky know-it-all teenager.

I'll try hard, anyway. ;-)

Excellent, Maciej...just excellent! One of your best. I love the detail in his hair, eyes, and the glasses.

Glenwood: yes, the girl in the backgroung was essential, I cropped a little though... Jim: well, the eyes could be sharper - when I look at the full-size image I see some blur, but anyway - just a grabshot, and AF does what it wants as usual... :-) By the way, hese were "field tests" of a recently bought Sigma 20-40/2.8. So far, so good and MUCH better than 18-70 kit lens...
