tim_monahan1 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Nice abstract image... would love to see the whole thing just to see it, it looks very interesting. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 5, 2007 Another beautiful image. This has very natural colors. I might have been tempted to create a 2nd image but boost the saturation. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 5, 2007 Hope you don't mind - but here is what I would like: see attachment. Link to comment
katherineerickson 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Well I must say that I really do prefer your version of this image. It is so vibrant and alive. Let me know exactly what you did, if you don't mind. Was it just saturation or was there contrast manipulation? I had started to respond to your comment earlier today, however I had to take care of another task so I never completed my response. What I was going to say is that I always add saturation, brightness/contrast to my images, however in the case of this image I think some of this was lost when I added the warp distortion effect. Sometimes if I use too much saturation, it results in kind of grainy/fragmented effect so I try not to go to high. Anyways, as I stated before, I like what you have done, so I am thinking, that maybe I will forward all of my shots to you for a final touch. Hehe! Thanks again and take care! thadley 15 Posted September 8, 2007 These changes start with a vision of what I want it to look like and I don't mind modifying these colors since I consider this to be a digital alteration. Sometimes it is trial and error. Using photoshop CS2: I started with auto contrast then went with the levels command adjusting the 'black' slider and then the white slider. If this does not produce the desired effect, then I may play with Hue/Saturation. Be careful with the black slider because this may lose details in the shadow area. Link to comment
