Melanie, this is so fresh and original. I've never seen a horse portrait like this before. It has a charming fairy book feel to it. The sky looks enchanted. I love the way you enhanced the light on that little wisp of mane, and the ear, a perfect touch. The eye looks surprised. I love the flowers on the halter. Well done.
