gordonjb 10,860 Posted September 2, 2007 I love this composition. So many beautiful lines and textures. This is an image I can linger upon. Mary, I have to say, you are the quickest study I've ever seen, your eye for composition is developing at a dizzying pace. Link to comment
mary_corning 0 Posted September 5, 2007 Thank you Gordon. It really has been inspiring to receive the honest critiques of those whom I respect. Your input helped develop this composition. After spending time here on PN I realized I needed to get out and stretch! It also inspired me to return to the camera from more than a year of shooters cramp. Many , many thanks for your time, your help, and especially the inspiration. With deep gratitude,I look forward to more..... ~M~ Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted September 5, 2007 Very interesting view of a horse. The crop is unusual but effective. I too like the textures of the mane against the smooth body hair. Nice shadows and highlights. Kirk Link to comment
mary_corning 0 Posted September 7, 2007 Thank you for expanding on my vision of my horse. Controversial crop? Many thanks! ~M~ Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted September 7, 2007 I love it. Brown isn't one of my favorite colors but I love the diffrent tones of it here. Great textures also. The abstract lines caught my eye, after a longer glance I thought "cool angle on a horse", then I opened the full shot and enjoyed it. Link to comment
mary_corning 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Jim, yours is a memorable comment and I am grateful as it is my very first 7/7. Somehow when I saw this shot I felt a strong appreciation for it. Though being very partial as I raised Far Go from a small foal, I wondered if others would feel the same? Thank you very, very much. I am honored by your time and your vision. Most gratefully, ~Mary~ Link to comment
