Dying in public

I was driving my car and got almost crashed when I saw it...

Glad you survived because it's a wonderful photo. I'd be tempted to crop it down somewhat to tighten the focus. On one level, the far shore is interesting but I think (others may disagree) that it dilutes the impact of the derelict.

I think I agree with Dave that there might be a better crop, but this version does show how abandoned the ship is. Great shot, and I'm also glad that you didn't crash. - Lex

Don't crop too far. The eye travels nicely from the ship along the curve of the beach to the little island. I hardly noticed the distant coast. Colours are brilliant here.

You know, Geoff is right: you can only take out so much of the far shore without losing the curve which really is a nice--probably essential--feature.

Is that on Karpathos?
