vicenteconcha 8 Posted August 26, 2007 The color is the joy of the life. This image with its colors is a pleasure for the senses. I would like to take a walk by that pretty garden. Best wishes. Vicente. Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Hello Hasan and Vicenta. Thank you for your supportive comments. It still did not stop someone from giving the picture a 3/3 without a word of advice from him on how to improve the photo next time I took it. At least he had the courtesy of leaving a name against the rating so I will be visiting his pages to ask for advice. Best wishes. Taha Link to comment
hildrup 0 Posted August 27, 2007 I believe you could have lifted the highlights; I quess the histogram is a little heavy on the left side. The light seems a little flat ? To me, it seems that the point of focus - the sharpest part of the image - is the leaves on the trees in the background ? The colorful flowers in front seems a little unsharp. I also think you could have removed the walkway on the left - or maybe taken the shot more from the left side. So, this is the reasoning behind my 3/3. I am sorry you reacted so strongly - I have now rerated your image with a 5/5. OK ? Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted August 27, 2007 Wonderful colours....from a 3/3 to a 5/5...another case in point for the removal of RATEMYPHOTO.NET... Ger.. Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted August 28, 2007 I do not mind my photos being rated 3/3 so long as there are constructive criticisms accompanying the rating otherwise there is no point to seeking critiques. It has always helped me improve. I was not asking for a 5/5; merely an explanation for the rating. It was a positive request from me given the camaraderie that exists on this site at least amongst some of the members in helping others improve. I may not agree with your analysis but I value it nevertheless. Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted August 28, 2007 You are absolutely right. The trouble is that whenever I have simply sought critiques I don't get it, but I do when I have put it to be rated. Your thoughts, as you know, are always welcomed by me. You have yourself helped me improve my pictures no ends over a period of time. Link to comment
