it is my belief that all good images should have at least one thing in focus. i would like this one much more if the car was in focus but leaving the background blurred.

Thank you for your comment. I also prefere a panning with some in focus, but in this case I think that the effect is like painting, more abstract.

too much blur. would be more interesting if either the car or the background/foreground were stopped.

I don't mind some blur on the car, but I'd like to be able to tell what kind of a car it is. I've shot at several tracks, panning is a way of life and always has interesting results. When I see a picture like this, I ask "was this the intended result?" If so, it's a good shot.
