I've been looking at this photo for some time now, and I almost started crying, man. I couldn't come up with anything to say. Yeah, I could say "unique", or "good exposure - being able to see the inside and the stuff outside", but all that is too ordinary. Now I know what to say: reality show. Static reality show. If there would be a contest for a reality show photo, this would be a good contender. Another word that comes to I is "raw". Now I can rest in peace. Cheers, Micheal

I'm touched that you would put so much thought into this. (Or are you being facetious?). I love the stuff you come up with. It is raw. An apt description. I don't feel I deserve a whole lot of credit for taking it. I mean I'm just out there playing around and having a lot of fun, and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.

I would really appreciate it if you would take a long and hard look at this: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6344282

I would be lying if I did not tell you it is one of my favorites. But, it has been very marginally received, and I cannot see what is wrong. Clearly expressed by several viewers is that the right side is to much nothing. I can see where they are coming from. Okay. But give me a brutally honest thought on the image. I'd be very grateful. Do not spare my feelings. Thanks

facetiousness is not my mode of operation, unless it's meant as a good-natured humour. I was of course exaggerating about the crying, but the rest is serious. So, man, are you going to buy the new D3 :-) ? Cheers, Micheal

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. And no, there is no new camera in my future. I have spent close to two thousand dollars in ink, paper and mat board in the last three months, and I am way over budget. I have to sell some pics to recoup some of that money.

I don't feel offended. Wow, two thousand bucks in printing supplies...man, are you opening a gallery after all? I think it might be a good idea to ask a gallery if they would post your photos.

Around here are print shops that also display artists' photos, so maybe you have them, too.

You have some good ones. Go for it, dude. Cheers, Micheal

Ink cartridges for my printer are 55 dollars apiece. It takes 9 cartridges. They do last pretty well. The good fine art papers in larger sizes can run two hundred bucks for fifty sheets. And museum quality archival mat board has gotten outrageous. Now if I just didn't print and mount them, I could save a lot of money.

what kind of printer are you using? And did you create a colour profile for it, or did it come with it when you bought it? M

Epson Stylus Pro 3800. Now you are going to make me look really ignorant, but I don't understand profiles, and I just print and if I don't like I make suitable adjustments. I need to learn some stuff about this, but that is true of so much of the technical side of digital imaging.
