A step to the left would make that tree covers sun light on the sea...In my opinion that would be better since colours in that area are dark and this light is disturbing shadows..

Great photo, the back light has brought out the texture of the sand. I think this has worked well, and composition is great too.

Very good picture! Position is absolutely right. You could highlight shadows behind tree with reflector if you had it, but it is not big deal. What I especially love is gold sparkles of leaves on the tree, and not only in the center of picture.

BTW, what is on the bench?

I would just to point out a couple of things:

-the picture was captured in St,Moritz(Switzerland) on the shore of an iced lake

-the glittering ground was snow

-the reflection of the sun was kept behind the tree to emphasize tree's shape

-the one on the bench is a human figure
