Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 What would be the purpose?! To achieve a real look, to show a character, nation, social status...to make an artificial real portrait! PDE Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted August 8, 2007 She has almost the same qualities as the girl before that you postsed but she looks straight ahead at you. Almost the same blue eyes. YET more sure of herself. SHE is behind a wall YET, she is not unbreakable. You have presented this very very well. AND like STEVE said ALL must see this. I have tried to see all the letters that are written. But it is late and I am tired. I can't wait to look at this again in the morning. :) ~ what a great picture to end the night on. ~ :) ~ micki Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 I just added a mouth made of a juicy watermelon! You didn't have to read the text on the tombstone. It's just a Roman tombstone in Justiniana Prima or maybe Skupi. Ancient towns on Via Militaris! I don't know much about archeology, but I found out that the place I was visiting only at night and on a full moon was north necropolis of the whatever ancient city it was! I used to touch the graves and talk to the ancient dead people who were underneath. It felt so good, so much calmed my soul! It was in the times of my not entirely lost hopes and expectations from this life! It somehow helped me to be a better fighter. No wonder - these ancient cities were garrison towns on the most important military way in the history of mankind, therefore the dead people must have been Roman soldiers of higher ranks! There is one looking like a pyramid. Must be some general there?! Yeah, I must go there tonight and pick up some more courage! A neighbor of mine doing some energy stuff told me that I must have caught some demon there and I believed him! I should have decided for myself instead! PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 Richard, you proved the demons in me, I was just about to visit you! Telepathy it is, it happens all the time to me! When I see somebody's name - he comes to me! Doc, it also happened with you! By the way, ti ja isprativ zhena mi, veruvam deka dosega te nashla! Fala ti za golemite brojki, cce ti gi vratam eden den a mozhda i porano, ha! Cheers to that! laurent_jaussi 0 Posted August 8, 2007 Pierre this is a rock solid creation...I like the stone texture and the lady is wonderfully integrated...I tend to be more a fan a classic photography (classic meaning only basic manipulations) but when a creation reach that level of quality I can only express my enthousiam...anyway I wish I can discover the power of PS at that level someday... Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 It is not the power of PS! It is the power of the imagination, of the free contemplation! PS is just a tool! As brush and canvas! More productive though! Much more productive! And I wish I could only take pictures as you do! The latest I commented were wonderful! I wouldn't say striking for that expression doesn't belong to that style and the times of its origin! Thanks for your comment! PDE Link to comment
biswajit 0 Posted August 8, 2007 Excellent PS work my friend!!, it reminded me the story of 'Anarkali' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarkali). People believe that she was burried alive in a wall near Delhi. I will visit again. Regards Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 You travel fast, indeed fast! We are all burried between walls some kind! But not IN the wall! I'm trying to escape the walls, to travel through time...to be free! Difficult to achieve that! Thank you for your sevens! PDE Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 8, 2007 Awesome in every aspect (including the "v" of course)! Congrats Pierre ! Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted August 8, 2007 I agree with many of the comments above, Pierre, this is one of your best! Beautiful ethereal image, almost haunting, and those eyes...She is beautiful! Absolutely stunning work, my friend! You never cease to amaze me with your skill with image and the written word! I love the texture of the limestone and your use of color. Very, very artfully done. Cheers to You! The Caliph Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 Honored to have your amiable comment! By the way, do you know where this picture would have been if there wasn't for the two Googies on it?! And my bloody connection of 0,3 KB/sec doesn't allow me to do anything at all! This is the verdict: Shitland should dye! THE MARSHAL HAS SPOKEN Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 8, 2007 I suspect the 3's are a provocation on the part of some children who enjoy the delicious thrill of hearing the lion roar. The picture is done to your usual exacting standards with an intersting figure/ground effect that depaends on whether you focus on the face or on the wall. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2007 Thank you Janis, thank you very much indeed! Jack, about the children playing with the lion, flattering construction, but believe you me - I know exactly who did it! About the picture, there are four or even five versions of this picture by now! This is the special one! It is unbelievable how the watermelon lips have changed it! This is a grown up noble woman here and was just a kid! Cheers to the creative and transforming power of the watermelon! PDE Link to comment
