jagdeep_gill 0 Posted August 6, 2007 Hi, the lighting on the subjects face and shoulder looks fantastic. However, the shoulder looks turned just a little too much and slightly awkward or unnatural. Maybe if she put her shoulder down and facing forward with only the head turned it would look better. Otherwise great pic! Link to comment
john.mathieson 0 Posted August 6, 2007 I see what Jagdeep is saying, but I have to say I like it the way it is - look realistic, not posed to me. She looks like she is going somewhere, and just turned back after being called. Her lips being pursed makes you feel she has been interrupted in something she has been thinking about. Great background. I spent an hour trying to get some family shots yesterday - aaaggh. Frustrating and non-productive. I think I should invite you over to take them for me!!! Link to comment
zohar 0 Posted August 6, 2007 i love the expression she has here, the softness of the photo and the background is superb! the only thing i would done is cropped the bottom of the photo at her shoulders level. Link to comment
charitylynn 0 Posted August 6, 2007 I love this portrait. Great lighting. Her expression is beautiful. Link to comment

shambhala 0 Posted August 6, 2007 Simona, this amazing photo looks highly retouched but what matters is the results, not the way they've been achieved. Edited of not, this image makes me want to look at it more and more - and that's the point of art. If you have used Photoshop, congratulations for the subtle work. If you haven't, then BRAVO, you show great control of your lighting, your equipment, and composition. I agree with John's comments but not with Zohar's - don't crop the shoulder!!!! The pink and green work well together, the sharpness is such it hurts and the girl's expression delightful and natural. My two critics are that maybe you have whitened the whites of her eyes a bit too much. And how about gently softening her (unattractive) neck lines a bit too? Please shoot more! Link to comment
dfeng 0 Posted August 6, 2007 Beautiful color portrait. The facial light is excellent. Link to comment
erizaldi 0 Posted August 7, 2007 This is beautiful Simona, I love the soft of your lighting (is this natural lighting?). I have no critique for pose or composition...all in the right place. Regards, Erwin. Link to comment

fotinos 0 Posted August 7, 2007 What a beautiful portrait with nice saturated colors and excellent lighting! You captured a momentary, a bit enigmatic expression, approving the immortalizing of her beauty and freshness by the camera- and your Art! Many traits of a high quality painting! Link to comment
