Well, there are nice things about it - the composition, the focus, nice tones in dress. But the crop is a bit tight at the top, the train is not spread out, and you could lighten her face. She could have pulled her shoulders back some, also. But, overall, it's very pleasant, and I hope to see more of your work here.

Sarah, First of all, I think your lighting and setting are great. You have picked a beautiful spot for the picture, and you have nice DOF. I don't agree about the crop being too tight, but then again I tend to be a tight cropper. That being said, I do agree about the train-it looks too crumpled up. And,she looks a bit sad and slumped over to me. I agree, though, that you have the right idea going on here and I would keep it up.

my thoughts are very similar to kari's. good spot chosen and well executed. but the subject's mood and her dress are not going well together. she seems sad and has a hunch!
