dougityb 0 Posted August 3, 2007 Thanks Amal. I love this shot. I have it hanging in my dining room, really big. There are a lot of cows on the walls of my house these days, but that's good because they've replaced all the churches. I wonder what my family will think when I start shooting belly dancers! Anyway, I'll post it in the ratings mill and see how it fares. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted August 3, 2007 The Rivanna River runs by many a farm on its way from the Shenandoah Mountains in Western Virginia to the James River, the Chesapeake, and the Atlantic. The ektachrome slide was golden, I mean GOLDEN! This shows some color correcting. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 3, 2007 Gorgeous light ... love the colour. I'm glad you have this in your dining room. The first thing I thought when I saw it was "that would look great really big!" Cheers Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted August 15, 2007 Beautiful, dreamy light, Doug! I love the well-balanced composition. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 21, 2007 Doug, I really think that this is one of the best that I have seen. I thought you were kidding some time back about getting some cow shots--until I saw some Schleswig-Holsteins about a week ago that cried out to be photographed. Unfortunately, I drove right on by. I have got to stop doing that, but, if I did stop driving by, I would never get anywhere. --Lannie Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Thanks Brad, and David. I have to smile at your comment, Lannie, because I feel the same way, except I've recently come to realize that I'm not very important in the grand scheme of things, that I'm never going to stop global warming, save the rain forests, find a cure for cancer, or solve any of the world's big problems. In other words, wherever I find myself going, it's usually not really that important that getting there 10 or 20 minutes later will make any difference. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 27, 2007 Doug, it IS a beautiful light that swift the composition with different hues, I wonder about your name all over it( which is unusual as a component in the frame..... I wonder and curious to understand your thought behind it ,explanation?;-)) Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted August 28, 2007 Pnina, that's my antitheft device. Every once in a while I find one of my pictures on someone else's web site. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 12, 2007 Doug, I came to wander again in your files after a long time, and read your explanation, I understand it because I find my work taken out to so many blogs and sites... at least they give the credite of the photographer's name... if that is a consolation. anyway, I like this one a lot, you really "educate" your cows....;-)) Howare you Doug? still writing poems? I hope so... Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 11, 2008 Doug, you never answered my question....;-)) I'm "traveling" here again. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted May 11, 2008 I'm sorry Pnina, No, I'm not writing much anymore. I've spent the last year photographing like a mad man, though, and next semester, I'm going to learn how to write plays, so I've not given up on it. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 11, 2008 Thanks for your answers, I still like your work and keeps your translated poem,;-)) I work now with Visual theater, ( aside fron my dance groups) and enjoy it very much. I hope you will continue to create in writing. ! (It is not the right place to ask, but I wonder is there a change in what we talked about in our email exchange then.) Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Pnina, this might not be the right place to answer, but I don't know because I can't remember back that many emails. What are you referring to? Link to comment
