Stock-Photos 1 Posted June 15, 2002 This is interesting because without a reference point, it's difficult to judge the size of the subject. Could be an aerial photo or the subject could be just a few feet away form the camera. Link to comment
david_cort_s 0 Posted June 15, 2002 Thanks for your comment ! What I liked was the idea that this peculiar form of 'rocks' was repeated twice, in a few... meters ;) Idea of repetition and... cyclicity.. same causes, effects alike, in the uniformity of the place. A taste of.. eternity ! I wanted to get lost in it : the foreground is slightly blurr on purpose.. :) Thanks again.. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted June 15, 2002 Sometimes the simplest of subjects is best. Very nice. Link to comment
hexenwolfe 0 Posted June 16, 2002 BRRRR! Beautiful image. The color is subtle but nicely toned. The composition is very good. The cropping is nice and tigh which makes the rocks and ripples stand out. Very nice photo. Link to comment
david_cort_s 0 Posted July 2, 2002 Thanks already very much for your comments, from which I've already learnt a lot. I just put this 'request' to have this photo more visible, for it seemed to have gathered some interest. All my thanks again, and of course, feel free to comment on, and on.. :) David Link to comment
david_cort_s 0 Posted July 2, 2002 I'll try to scan it again, it may help. The jpg format reduces a lot the details too.. july, the 6th : here is the result a little sharper.. Link to comment
iason_faennos 0 Posted February 18, 2003 Exellent work! As to me, i'd like the sharpness of the latter and the color if the first. The sharpness has also revealed the 'waves' in texture i think. The gradation of those waves from near to far is exellent. Link to comment
david_cort_s 0 Posted February 21, 2003 Thanks a lot for your remark : here is a (very last ? ;) ) try, taking them into account. Thanks again, David Link to comment
david_cort_s 0 Posted February 22, 2003 Hi ! thanks again, but I don't know about 'PC Worker' : hope you'll tell me what it means... by the way, I hope this seems good to you. I wish I could afford a precise enough scanner not to have so much work done to get closer to the result I desire each time... Thanks again, David Link to comment
iason_faennos 0 Posted February 26, 2003 You seem good at software, that was. You managed to make the texture visible (which would not be easy for me, i'm not so good on the computer on photos - yet...) As for the scanner, i can say, yes, a good scanner is important. My experience: since i started to use the Epson 2450, after an obsolete one that i don't even mention, i noticed quite a difference... So, keep up your good work! Link to comment
david_cort_s 0 Posted March 3, 2003 Ok.. :) Just for your info : to have more details visible is quite easy, when the original is kind of sharp. In fact, when you upload something, the compression removes a lot of sharpness : it was possible to make up for it uploadind the image as an upload on a comment : there is no further compression after your upload. So, I'm not so good at Photoshop (= PS, on this site) ! Best regards, Iason ! and many thanks again, David ps : the scanner is a Minolta Dîmage Scan Dual II Link to comment
