laurent_jaussi 0 Posted October 17, 2007 I love the perspective and tone here...a great classic (in good sense) in terms of composition, foreground character, leading graphical element (bridge lines), peolpe far away to provide anchoring and action, good late and 3/4 rear/side light...everything nicely done in this photo...a real pleasure to see.... caincaptures 0 Posted January 25, 2008 I was just browsing through your wonderful portfoilio. I was stopped by this one, ok, well many of them, but I have to say I am really drawn to this one. Link to comment

alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted April 28, 2008 There are many mini-stories going on here and no matter what was really happening when you shot this most excellent photo, the stories are in my head. If I were there, I would be patting your dog on the head, running down the boardwalk to catch up to the family, and taking in the glorious waterscape. I feel a part of this landscape. And I truly believe that your dog is reading the memorials and connecting to those people, many of whom are gone. As for color vs. B&W - I believe that this simple and sincere tale speaks volumes in B&W. And I think your conversion is spot on. Great capture and wonderful execution! Cheers ~ Link to comment
human images 4 Posted August 6, 2008 ... a fine pic here! It feels to me like one of those moments when the photographer `recognizes´ the shot before clicking the shutter. Terrific when it happens and great fun when the picture shows it. Regards. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted August 16, 2009 Wonderful, wonderful image. What a story to this one. Beautifully captured. Love the BW and composition. It tugs at my heart some. It's going in "my favorites" so I can relive this special scene from time to time. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Liz: This old dog is still around. She finally is starting to show her age at 13. She treats my kids as if they are her puppies, rambunctious little puppies. Thanks. Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted March 5, 2010 In a portfolio replete with varied and striking images, this one jumped out at me. I have a soft spot for dogs, but the composition, tones and unrevealed story are intriguing. Just an excellent capture and presentation.... Mike Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted July 14, 2010 Belated thanks. Jessie passed away in May after a very long life. A real loss for our family. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted March 8, 2011 The depth of field truly caught my eye in this shot. AND the bridge. I'm sorry to hear you lost this dog. I know that 'loss', don't think it ever goes away, not from dear friends like this. Especially since the children were so close to it. WE are blessed with these creatures, a shame when you see animals mistreated when you know how much they can love. kind regards, Gail Link to comment
