Thanks for helping me improve with suggestions. I was wondering about

the removal of the tatoos or leaving them as is.

I would remove the tatoos cause they destroy the mood you aim to make with the sephia application. I would also crop the image at the top to draw the attention to the boys. It could also work a bit better if you adopted a lower angle of shooting (Eye level or lower). I like the mood of the photo, the boy's expression and the wind, which brings your image to life.
