This is absolutely priceless!!! Micki you are definately someone I would love to know more about.

So clever! and well done. The focus is perfect. I love the blade of grass in the foreground with him peeking over it. This is Fabulous!

After trying to go around and seeing some of the strong stuff I'm going OH MY I think mine will be a little (funny) maybe that will be good.

Truth is I spent a LONG time and countless tries (about 180 pics) trying to get the focus just right.

I wanted to do this without any adustment to the picture. I am still working on my skills and so I wanted to make sure my focus is on CHOP CHOP as he likes to look just right. The light has to be perfect AND I wanted him to be covered just right, No stunt double used too. WHEW ~ he is not cheap so we had only one day to work! ~ ha

Micki, this is great. I love the way Chop Chop is hiding behind the blade of grass. It takes a few seconds to see what's going on, which really makes an impact when you get it. I love it. Regards, Oliver

Oh Micki you are so fun. I also agree with Lyndsay. And I think we are going to have alot fun in this group. I need to loosen up and bit and I think hangin' out with you guys will help me out with that. This is a really fun image. Strong colors and those strong blades of grass...and dont forget the strongest super hero of all. CHOP CHOP to the rescue. I want a little of your magic to rub off on me. :O)

Oliver ~ yes that blade was a problem at first and I chopped just a bit off.

I was not sure if it was going to prevent people from seeing him then I figured that was the thrill of this picture. I knew if I put this up for ratings the QUICK raters would go click click click and not notice it at first and shame on them for not seeing CHOP CHOP. All because of that blade of grass. BUT, I really wanted to do that sharpness on CHOP CHOP and it worked.

Leanna ~ you are already starting to get lose! :) ~ don't worry! I can't help it ~ I get so many 3's I have to laugh! LOL

HEHE...I know the feeling. Maybe one week we should do a catagory to see who can get the most 3/3s. Then since we would be trying to get them we probably wouldnt get any. :O) That would be a shocker.

Great work, Micki, with Chop Chop here. I like it and I think the Army could use him in their campaign. As for the 3/3s. I own that with my first wedding picture. Sorry.

love me

I don't care ~ comments are so important now. I just learned if you don't get them rated they are not seen and I want my picture seen.

BUT maybe that is a good idea... hmmm

Leanna you have portraits and they are a hard one to put peoples face up to rate. People rate beauty not the picture sometimes.

CHOP CHOP will not care. CHOP CHOP is just here to make people LAUGH :)

This is for humor. I put one of CHOP CHOP's pictures in Documentary one time and it did well. LOL Some day I will do a CHOP CHOP book (with Lego's permission of course) and he will be famous!! yeah

Your imagination truly took flight here, Micki. I almost needed a microscope to see the little guy. This to me is what special topic assignments are about. Lots of fun!!

Oh Micki - it's wonderful!!! I love that he is sunck right down in the grass where he should be! If you had tried to raise him any higher, it wouldn't have looked natural. As it is, I can almost picture another soldier coming up behind him with the second pepper. This is great! The colours are wonderful!

Good morning, Micki! I absolutely love your sense of humor! You are fearless! :) ChopChop is doing some power lifting here...all for the sake of photography...I hope you paid him well. I admire your determination in getting this shot "just right". It paid off. Big smile!

I would like to say that CHOP CHOP (who is not reachable at the moment as he has another engagement) is happy that you all are thriled with the photo.

I the photographer am happy that you are glad with my artistic approach on this picture.

I would also like to say again (for you JAN) that I did not retouch this photo (YEAH) and again that is a great accomplishment for me as I am a touch this and touch that kind of person. I really wanted to mess with his mouth but then I realized that one little strand of grass is perfect as it hides that smile.

Intervies with CHOP CHOP can be made later on another picture. Thank you.

I was expecting something very serious and when I saw this, I laughed, even after I have had quite a morning (with the kids & husband & messy house!) This is really cute & well done!

LOL ~

Thanks Kellen

I know what you mean. Between Jan and I we were the "COMIC" relief after seeing most of these strength pictures. My poor husband was going YOU CAN'T handle this group if it is going to be serious like this and then I hit JAN'S picture as I knew it was going to be my last picture.

I just died on the floor laughing my ars off!

Then I showed it to him quickly and he was like.

If that's JAN we are NOT letting her have CHOP CHOP!!

HA HA HA!!

I'm glad I made your day a little more better :)

Shall I send my TORREY to you do get your kids under control. Oh wait I send my 14 year old so YOU can get HER under control ~ he he

Great, Micki. The colors are strong, vibrant. You used your camera wonderfully! The whole idea of the little yellow guy holding up the weight of the world is imaginative, as is the blade of grass in front and the angle and perspecitve. I will say that your written hint telling me what to look for kind of spoiled some of what this creative photo has, the subtle power of revelation. When I get to see something new in a photo after looking at it carefully, I consider that my reward for putting in a little time and energy. In my opinion, the photo should do the revealing, not the photographer.
