geri cullen 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Detail from photo taken in Sydney during recent downpour. Would love some feedback. Thanks Geri Link to comment
waveguide 0 Posted June 24, 2007 There are many lines for the eye to follow- The edges of the sidewalk and the lines painted on the roadway. There is a flow of the water, and drops captured in mid air. A good, busy, active picture, with a nice monochromatic effect. Nice. Link to comment
enjoy1664881457 0 Posted June 24, 2007 Yes there are many aspects of interest, my eyes constantly moving. (but with all this drought, the rain has been extremely painful!!!) Link to comment
loldhoff 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Rain is a difficult subject to capture ... I know and I've tried, unsuccesfully, I might add. You did well here. Thanks for your comment. Your pictures in general are of high quality too. Congrats! Greetings from Victoria, BC, Canada. Link to comment
Matthew Brennan 3 Posted July 26, 2007 Geri, This is a well composed image and I appreciate the subdued tones you have here and the curb / footpath geometry is great to fill the midfield. My only suggestion to improve this sort of exposure is to maybe try to get a faster shutter speed to freeze more drops and splashes. This is a very good effort none the less and scores highly in degree of difficulty in my book! Link to comment
geri cullen 0 Posted August 2, 2007 Thanks for your comments Matthew. It was bucketing and I was trying to keep my camera gear dry....you are probably right about a faster shutter speed, I will remember that next time I'm in a similar situation..Cheers, Geri Link to comment
