miles_hecker 0 Posted June 18, 2007 I was the only one watching this sunrise in a less frequented area of Grand Teton NP near the String Lake canoe lauch. All comments and ratings are welcome. Link to comment
kerry fletcher photography 0 Posted June 18, 2007 I really like the log in the water. The clouds are very nice also. Link to comment
mlikvan 0 Posted June 18, 2007 This is a very challenging subject to photograph because it is very difficult to take a '3D' picture with a '2D' format. That is why someone like Ansel Adams was such a master. Much like you, he waited for the right lighting to cut across the scene because this helps give the picture the highlights and shadows it needs to add that third dimension. Initially the eyes are drawn to the mountain and trees. Then the eyes move to the right and are brought back to the original spot by the log cutting across the water. The angle of the clouds complements the other angles. It looks like a freekin' postcard! Link to comment
photis santamouris 23 Posted June 18, 2007 The eye of a professional.Could also be in B&W,just like legendary A.Adams did with his Hassies.I would only burn the trees and sky a little,to add more drama.A beautiful image. Link to comment

fred mueller 0 Posted April 7, 2008 really, really nice and this just looks so natural..... I really appreciate the "spot on" approach here (no leaden HRD sky, flaming sunrise etc) and the composition is great...would like to have been there Link to comment
