good capture. nicely conveys the feeling of the space. good color. yes, the background is a bit dark, but still good light on the floor.

Very moody shot. Great placement of the different elements really works the diagonals.

 

I think the main reason why some viewers feel it is too dark is because their eye wants to see what is back there. It is the mystery that draws them in. Your image draws the eye to the important elements . . . the background is left to the imagination.

Great shot. I love this one. If you shot raw, would be interesting to see a 2nd cut at processing to bring back a bit more of the color in the glass in the window. Cheers.
