Sunset in Kruger

I used the camera's integral metering system for this shot. I think

the photograph works well just with the sun and clouds and without an

added element to serve as a subject, but I would appreciate any

thoughts on this. Could it have been stronger with a strong subject

element in the forground (say a silhoutte of a tree)?

This is a nice shot, but in my opinion, sunrises and sunsets are always stronger if there is a strong foreground subject. So in answer to your question as to whether a subject would make it stronger, I would say yes. But this is nice. Thanks for posting.

I'd pull up the contrast and saturation.

I think the shot works well without a foreground object. The color saturation could be a bit better, but the layering is nice. I think you can be proud of this as is.
