jayme 0 Posted June 11, 2007 Above is my crop & interpretive changes. The original was taken by her mother. See the original above this entry :) The eyes definitely are the subject on this one :) Link to comment
yann1 0 Posted June 11, 2007 Excellent photo, but something is wrong with her teeth, perhaps they're braces, too bad. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 11, 2007 Yann- You're correct, they are braces. She's only 13. In the distant photo, they are not noticeable, in my close crop they are. A hazard of childhood, but her beauty over shadows the temporary situation. I played a bit, but I still like the original best. Braces & all :) Link to comment
kristin_morales 0 Posted June 21, 2007 I love this high key brown tone(?) hard for me to put a name to it. But the original does let you see how gorgeous her eye color really is. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 21, 2007 You're right about the eyes! She's a doll to work with. Datha took this one. She wanted me to play with a couple of her images. I think if I was going to print this, I'd go into Painter & do a little more work. I'd highlight her beautiful eyelashes by drawing them in. I'd soften the edges of her mouth. I'd also paint some more detail in her hair, especially in the light areas. I'd also fix the braces thing. Painter is so much easier to fix things like this than PS. Much nicer brushes. Don't get me wrong, I love PS, but Painter takes the PS'd photo to a whole other artistic level. This would end up looking like a line drawing, which I love. I am currently awaiting a new computer for my studio, so..... I am operating on a laptop. I haven't been able to do all the things I've wanted. It should be built soon. Then, I have to hassle with PS to load it to my new computer, what a hassle, have to call & get a new number every time. Then, load Painter again, etc. I am really dreading it! We (me & the computer guy) decided to stay with Windows XP Pro, Vista seems reminiscent of Millennium. Lots of little problems. Especially with drivers. My laptop is Vista. As soon as the new computer is done, it goes back. Keyboard problems, driving me crazy. Skips around when you type :( Gets hung up on a page. Got to keep 2 windows open & flip back & forth to un-hang it. Otherwise, it's great :) LOL Link to comment
