astrophotography Jupiter 2007

This image was taken two weeks before close approach which is on the

6th of June.

 

Various cloud bands, festoons, and ovals can be seen including the

reddish BA oval at the top.

Probably the best shot of Jupiter I've seen that you or I would take. Of course it helps to have the red spot to be more like Jupiter is always seen, but still good none the less. Its a shame its a little soft.
